I still have a few spaces if you'd like to join me to make a double-sided, inside-out lampshade.

I have lots of different coloured fabrics for you to choose from for the outside, to help with matching your decor or if you'd prefer you can bring your own fabric so your shade can be perfectly you.

You'll need two pieces of fabric 25 x 75 cm, one plain, one patterned. Cotton quilting fabric and medium weight fabrics are perfect.

NEW DOUBLE SIDED WRAP

I love a multi-purpose, double design, 2 for 1, wee surprise, so I've made some new wrap that has two different designs per sheet.

The inside of your parcels can be pretty too, or if you're wrapping a few small items, you can use the different sides to make them all look different but still be matching. It's also lovely and thick, which makes it joy to wrap with.

It also makes a good poster, which can be turned over when you want to change up the room.

has been testing for me...

So this weekend I digressed from my normal @funadaydundee project and did something fun that I had been looking forward to for quite some time: I made some mini fairy lights lampshades!

My maker friend @katiebirdiedoes has been running a few fairy lights lampshade making classes using her own fabric designs. Unfortunately I could never make the dates. But a wee while ago she told me that she was thinking of creating these mini lampshade kits with instructions and all the materials included to make yours in the comfort of your own home. But she obviously needed a volunteer to test these.
And guess who volunteered for that? I had great fun making these little lampshades, everything I needed was in the box that Katie sent me. And the instructions were really easy to follow.

If you like the look of these give it a thumbs up and I hope that will mean that Katie will have these for sale soon! I'll let her know.

Now I just have to decide where to put these...

For @funadaydundee, I've started 2025 by drawing and collaging something from my garden or something that I've spotted on a dog walk.

At the moment, there are lots of seed heads left over from last summer, which have some lovely sculptural shapes, but I'm hoping that by the end of the month, some new shoots will be starting to sprout.

I started something similar last spring and recorded in drawings and collages all the plants in my garden as they bloomed. I was gutted when I left that sketch book on a bus, never to be seen again.

It's early days, but I'll be so pleased if I can keep this up and record a year in plants in order..

For @funadaydundee, I've started 2025 by drawing and collaging something from my garden or something that I've spotted on a dog walk.

At the moment, there are lots of seed heads left over from last summer, which have some lovely sculptural shapes, but I'm hoping that by the end of the month, some new shoots will be starting to sprout.

I started something similar last spring and recorded in drawings and collages all the plants in my garden as they bloomed. I was gutted when I left that sketch book on a bus, never to be seen again.

It's early days, but I'll be so pleased if I can keep this up and record a year in plants in order..

The sun is shining in the East Neuk, the perfect day for a @bowhousefife market with @teagreenevents.

It's my last in person event of the year, and it's full of amazing makers and the best food.

I had some lovely silky off cuts after making a big batch of scarves last week as well as some velvet cushion scraps, all now destined to be one-off purses with a vintage snap frame.
